Office Vacancy Information
Chiyoda-ku is located in the center of Tokyo's 23 wards.
Named after Chiyoda Castle, another name for Edo Castle, this district has developed since the Edo period as the political, economic, and cultural center of Japan. Standing in the center of the ward is the Imperial Palace with its lush greenery of gardens. Nagatacho and Kasumigaseki are home to major institutions such as the National Diet and the Supreme Court, which still play an important role in Japan's legislative, administrative, and judicial affairs.
Another characteristic of Chiyoda-ku is that different industries are concentrated in different areas. City banks, newspaper companies, general trading companies, and other giant corporations have their headquarters in the Marunouchi, Otemachi, and Hibiya areas. Kanda is home to major publishing houses, while the neighboring Jimbocho area, with its distinctive bookstores, is a book lover's paradise. In recent years, Akihabara's Electric Town (Sotokanda) has become popular not only among electronics shoppers, but also among tourists, with many visitors from Japan and abroad.
In addition to its business aspect, Chiyoda-ku offers a variety of atmospheres depending on the area, such as an educational area with famous universities and the Bancho area with its rows of luxury residences.
