Office Vacancy Information
The Kojimachi area is an upscale and quiet environment. Together with Bancho, Nagatacho, and Kasumigaseki, the area is clustered in the center of Chiyoda Ward, each of which has many public institutions and complexes. During the daytime, you can see business people working at related facilities, as well as tourists and children.
There are various theories about the name "Kojimachi," such as that it is said to have originated from "koji," which were numerous in the town, or that it was named after Kojiya Sanshiro, a Koji official of the Shogunate who lived here at that time. The most popular theory, however, is that it was the entrance to "Kokufu Kaido," a road that led to and from Kokufu in Fuchu, in other words, that it was the town of Kokufu-ji (koji).
Kojimachi is located on the border of Shinjuku City and Yotsuya. Many office buildings line the streets around Kojimachi Station. Nearby are embassies such as the Belgian Embassy, the Chiyoda Ichibancho Post Office, and Hanzomon Station, creating a business area with a relaxed atmosphere.
