Office Vacancy Information
The Nishi-Shinjuku area, with its large retail stores, skyscrapers, and high-rise hotels, is truly a "big city.
After the area was designated as a "subcenter" in order to disperse business functions that were concentrated in the city center, high-rise office buildings were constructed one after another in this originally quiet recreational area, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government moved into the area, and the area quickly grew into one of the leading office districts in Japan. The overwhelming presence of the towering skyscrapers has appeared in many images and photographs as an image of the metropolis that is Tokyo.
Lined with high-grade properties occupied by numerous major corporations, Nishi-Shinjuku is a well-developed environment with an abundance of restaurants, convenience stores, and clinics. The area is also home to many department stores, so shopping and other non-work related activities are also available. The west exit of Shinjuku Station is home to the famous "Omoide Yokocho" drinking district with its rows of cozy pubs.
Although the area is densely populated with office buildings, the neighborhood of high-rise buildings is home to the famous Shinjuku Chuo Park, an urban oasis, and some properties are located in calm neighborhoods with lots of greenery, making it a relaxing area even during the hectic work schedule.
